The first RMISC was in 1994 at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Also, the conference moved to the University of Colorado Denver’s campus starting in 2004. 

In 2010, the conference was again at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Also, in 2011, it was at the Centennial Airport Marriott Conference Center in Englewood, Colorado. 

In 2012, it moved to its current location, The Westin Westminster Hotel & Conference Center in Westminster, CO.

The topics that are at this conference are information security management, information systems, security policy, risk management, law, and compliance.

The RMISC has many presentations. Also, there are many speakers for this conference. There are also many different perspectives because of the different speakers.
