- join an organization or association for cybersecurity professionals

Then, you can choose to pursue roles in different areas:
- Leadership. These are senior or executive-level roles. As one, you will need to solve high-level problems and make good decisions. Also, you will need to make and lead a security team. While at the same time, align cybersecurity with business goals.
- Consulting. This means being a consultant. One that works with clients and helps them with their security. So, to be a successful one, you need to find your niche. Then, focus and master that skills. This will help you find and help well-known companies.
- Education. Of course, you can also consider helping the field to grow. So, you may find teaching or mentoring to be for you. May it be formally or informally. This can help the next generation to be more inclined in the cybersecurity field.
